POST 6: A SUBJECT I ENJOY STUDYING

My favorite subject is “hunter gatherers”. This subject teaches the subsistence system that certain societies had in the past -mainly the first ones in the world- and that some societies still have today. This system consists of subsisting on the resources provided by the environment, and they are called hunter-gatherers because what characterizes them is that they live by hunting and gathering... the productive system developed much later. In this class we have seen the technology they possessed such as lithic instruments, their mobility (they were usually nomadic), rituality and symbolism, and many other topics such as the climatic changes they faced or issues such as social organization. I like this subject because it is interesting to know about prehistory, the life that humans had before learning to domesticate species and reached the system we have toda; the latter is to what I give more importance because without this subject it would be difficult to keep track of the past ...

POST 5: A PHOTO AND ITS STORY

Imagen
T his picture is from my vacation before the pandemic, it shows a colony of penguins and that's what makes it the best moment of my vacation. This is in ancud, Chiloe. That day we went to the place where the penguins were, at around 5:30 in the afternoon and it turned out that the last boat was leaving at 6:00, so we were just in time to get there.  We were lucky that right at that time the penguins went up to that island to sleep since they were fishing all day and were rarely seen in the sea, but right at that time they came out of the sea so most of them were seen. This photo was taken by me and I like it so much because it is an animal that I never thought I would see in its natural habitat, as the circumstances are difficult to do so. It was a good experience that I will never forget.
