POST 6: A SUBJECT I ENJOY STUDYING

 My favorite subject is “hunter gatherers”. This subject teaches the subsistence system that certain societies had in the past -mainly the first ones in the world- and that some societies still have today. This system consists of subsisting on the resources provided by the environment, and they are called hunter-gatherers because what characterizes them is that they live by hunting and gathering... the productive system developed much later. In this class we have seen the technology they possessed such as lithic instruments, their mobility (they were usually nomadic), rituality and symbolism, and many other topics such as the climatic changes they faced or issues such as social organization. I like this subject because it is interesting to know about prehistory, the life that humans had before learning to domesticate species and reached the system we have toda; the latter is to what I give more importance because without this subject it would be difficult to keep track of the past in order to understand the present, compare eras, histories and lifestyles.
